Plate support

According to the application and different tower diameter, different supports can be used to support packing layer. Support construction needs to consider gas and liquid flow.
Especially between packing layer and support, the drainage capacity may be reduced. So the support must be suitable for packing type, packing layer height, fluid volume, possible weight increase due to pollution and the design temperature for specific application.
The support requires a support ring, and requires according to the diameter and/or support load one or several internal support beams. The high gas flow rate may cause pressure surge or water immersion, so the support can be fixed on the support ring.

Plate support

The simplest design is plate support, suitable for small diameter of packed tower.
Need to consider hydraulic conditions, because this type of support has smaller natural section.
In addition to metal and thermal plastic, the plate support is of ceramic and graphite.
Hump support uses diamond-type plate, which is a very economical choice, but it is only used for metal material. This kind of support grid is suitable for low load and small diameter tower.
